Recognition/understanding by image information

An image contains a large amount of information that can be used to answer such questions as How many persons are there in the image? , Who is he/she? , What is he/she doing? , and so on. The purpose of our study is to recognize or understand the meaning of regions in an image (e.g., human regions) from images or image sequences.
